Seeing Kelingking Beach in person looks even more dramatic than the internet photos. Then we hopped on the boat and snorkeled right alongside a huge manta ray at Manta Bay. An absolute bucket-list day.

Nusa Penida roads are notoriously bumpy and narrow, so having an air-conditioned private car and a driver who knows the roads inside out made a massive difference. We saw people struggling on scooters in the sweltering heat.

The team met us at Sanur port, handed us our fast boat boarding passes, and our island driver was waiting right at the dock when we landed in Penida. Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong were gorgeous natural wonders.
