We left Seminyak at 4:30 AM to beat the queue at Lempuyang. Got queue number 28 and had our iconic photo taken with Mount Agung reflecting in the mirror before 8 AM! Our driver Hendric made the early morning drive super smooth and let us sleep in the back.

The Gates of Heaven get all the Instagram hype, but stepping on the stone pedestals in the royal water garden feeding the giant golden koi fish at Tirta Gangga was the true highlight for me. Peaceful and stunning.
