Ulun Danu Beratan in the morning mist was serene. The cool mountain breeze in Bedugul was such a nice break from the coastal heat. Our driver Made was super knowledgeable about the history of the temples.

Made timed our drive so we arrived at Tanah Lot right when the tide went out, allowing us to walk across the rocks right up to the temple base, followed by a dramatic golden sunset behind the pagoda. Great photos!

Huge sweeping green landscapes that felt much more untouched than the crowded ones in Ubud. We took our time walking the paths and stopped for local coffee overlooking the valley.

It's a full day of driving across the island, but the car was in top condition and we never felt exhausted. Driver was very courteous, opened doors for us, and had cold drinks ready whenever we hopped back into the car.
